We want to make sure that you have all the information you need to plan your special day at The Alcove. Here are some frequently asked questions that we receive from guests considering The Alcove for their special event. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us directly and we'll be happy to help!

General house rules:

Booking Details: All reservations are coordinated through bookings@thealcoveoakville.com.

Outside Vendors: We’re happy to welcome external vendors — simply share their details with us in advance for approval.

To protect our space, please no:

  • Silly string

  • Helium balloons

  • Smoking indoors

  • Firecrackers or fireworks

  • Open flame candles

For the below items please obtain pre-approval from the team:

  • Face paint, body paint, or powder color

  • Confetti or confetti‑filled balloons

  • Henna or mehndi

  • Contained candles

Play Area Etiquette: Shoes must be removed before entering the bouncy castle or play area.

Wall Care: Please refrain from using any type of tape on the walls


  • We are located at 358 Speers Rd Oakville, ON L6K 3R9 Canada. We are on the second floor and requires guests to take stairs to access the venue. We have free on site parking on a first come first serve as well!

    *Elevator access is coming soon!

  • We are currently equipped with seating for 80. We are soon growing this to 100. Please inquire with us!

    Once a booking has been confirmed a 50% non refundable deposit is required to secure the booking for your event date. The balance is due two days before the event. Please note, entry to the venue will be granted upon full payment prior to the event.

  • You have the option to book a full day event from 11am-Midnight. If you are booking our half day options we have set times for social day events (11am - 4pm) and evening events (6pm to 12am). Please request in advance if additional time is needed, as this will depend on availability and an additional fee may be applied.


  • Yes, a refundable $250 security deposit (incremental to the rental fee) is required upon booking. The security deposit is refunded upon the condition that rental venue and rental items are returned and left in the same state (with no damages) as they were provided.

  • The rental time slot is inclusive of set up and clean up time. Please request in advance if additional time is needed, as this will depend on availability and an additional fee may be applied.


  • All bookings are final and non refundable. However, we do understand that sometimes plans can change. In that event we will look to find another booking date for you in our calendar and apply a change fee.

  • We have a newly renovated kitchenette/prep room as well as a food and drinks area. Available with fridges, freezers, sinks, microwaves and kettle as well as a dishwasher. There is no stove/oven on site.

    We provide warming mats/plates to keep food warm and rent out chef dishes at an additional cost.

    All events must bring in outside catering, if you plan to serve food. We’re happy to recommend reputable preferred caterers.

    Please note: We do not offer plates, cutlery and glassware with the venue rental. However, we are happy to assist with add-on options to your package.

  • Absolutely! We have women’s and men’s bathrooms as well as an accessible washroom.

  • Yes, outside food and beverage is welcome. Outside vendors are welcome and we have preferred vendors that we can recommend.  Please advise in advance to get approval and confirmation from The Alcove Team. Please provide their contact information and arrival times at least one week prior to the event date.

    A permit is required for alcoholic beverages. We are happy to assist you with this.

  • We provide various packages that include décor. You may also work with us to customize your own décor for a personalized experience.

    Outside décor vendors or DIY are welcome and must be reviewed with The Alcove Team first. Please review the ‘House rules’ section to see the items that are not permitted on site.


  • We have a sound system (with microphone) available, as part of the venue rental. DJs can also bring their own equipment.

    Please request your AV needs in advance as we are continually upgrading our tech capabilities.
